Magnetite is a natural aggregate manufactured from the iron oxide Magnetite. With its high specific gravity Magnetite is used as a coarse material to produce heavyweight concrete. When used as the aggregate portion of a concrete mix, magnetite increases the density of the concrete to twice that of standard concrete.
